I am going to change to rear diff. fluid and have a few ?
I an going to use Royal Purple 75/140.
How much should I get?
What is the best RTV to use for the cover,
I would like to do a Magtech but they are just to much $$$$
Pick up a Ford '08+ rear diff cover $45. Looks nice and is cast alluminum. You'll need 3.5 qts, and you should pick up Permatex High Temp Black Gasket maker. Here is my recent upgrade. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...p?albumid=5523
He did say Dana 80 your going to need 8.5 pints of 75W-90 + 8 oz. of friction modifier. Add the modifier first, then the oil. Added the friction modifier is only for limited slip rear.
I would recommend this to anyone who has the limited slip differential and notices a need for modifier;
Just add enough modifier to rectify the chatter problem when turning and don't get the stuff on anything you want to keep around, the stuff stinks.
