I have a 78 F-150 4x4, it had a 351M in it. It was tired so I put a 460 in it. I need to find a power steering bracket to put on the 460. Any good places to look for one (besides the junk yard) companys? ideas?
I'm not aware of any companies selling used brackets, nor any that manufacture reproductions. If you had a part number you might get lucky and find one NOS from an obsolete parts supplier. That leaves the junkyards or a classified ad. Try posting one on this web site.
DJ you could be right about 460 in 4X4, but the AC compressor don't care wheather it's connected to a car or truck motor. The man needs a bracket to hold the compressor, that'll fit a 460.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.
I had just replaced my power steering mounting bracket, on my 79 f-150, and I think I was a fool, I went to ford to have them order me one thinking it to be a pretty cheap item, and once I got the bill it was $85.00!!!, I suggest you should stick to looking for one at a junkyard, there they will probably give it away, or sell it very cheap.
