Alright, i threw the truck on the scanner today quick. It threw 5 codes. I didnt write them down, but 4 were all glow plug related. Saying Bank #1 and #2 glow plugs were low voltage..and GPR fault low..i just replaced it with a standard GPR. It buzzes when i cycle the plugs. Makes the noise like the old fords when the doors open. Doesnt click like normal relays. Im going to take it off and return it and buy a GPR109 from napa. Other codes was low ICP sensor? Should i put the new GPR and ICP in the truck and scan it again? What are the symptoms of a faulty ICP?
With the codes you mentioned (GP) I assuming you have a Cali truck? If so you would have a special GPR (California style) with a bar type strap. You would have 5 small wires and two big cables instead of two small wires and two big cables. Which is it?
Here is the diagram on the cali GPR circuit ...
and here is the diagram on the federal GPR circuit ...
hmm, got me there..My GPR only had two big leads and two smaller ones. How else do i know if its a cali truck? Vin? It said it was made in the kentucky plant.
