Steering Question.

I have an 05 EX with higher mileage. It seems like the steering wheel is loose. what I mean is, there is a little bit of free movement between the time you start turning the steering wheel and the time the wheels start turning on pavement. Has anyone else had this kind of issue, if so how did you go about solving it?

I had 82,000 miles on my X when I replaced the OEM steering box with a REDHEAD steering gear to cure my steering issues. Before that I adjusted it at least six different times, replaced the rear sway bar with a larger bar, installed landyot radius rods and firestone air bags. The Redhead gear was the cure. I had to learn how to drive my X all over again. Google "Redhead steering gear" and you will get there site. I would suggest you call the guy and he will tell you why the Ford OEM steering gears go bad. Good guy to talk with.
