I have an EGR delete from RCD and an oil cooler kit on the way. Also ordered intake gaskets and a turbo mounting kit. Anything else I need?
I will be doing a coolant flush afterward the other is put in. Gotta wait on the coolant filter unfortunately.
Upgrade your HPOP STC fitting, Upgrade the turbo oil drain tube, replace the HPOP sump screen with stainless steel (Neal Tech). Definately add the coolant filter or why bother overhauling your oil cooler....you're just going to ruin what you fixed. Also, take the intake off and clean it (hot-wash) it. Reroute or filter your CCV to keep the dirty air out of your clean intake, CAC tubes and turbo...oh yeah and overhaul your CAC tubes...at least clean them thoroughly. That should keep you busy for a couple of days.
OK, I did order the drain tube and a stock screen. I will check tomorrow if I can get the stainless steel one in time. The coolant filter will be done in a couple months, but not this weekend. There is no way I am going to skip it forever and do half this all over again. CCv reroute is already done.
Can you clean the intake yourself or will I have to take in somewhere? CAC tubes will be cleaned out, but the blue pieces are looking like they need to be replaced sometime.
Forgot about the VC9 cleaner. How much should that run? I am hoping to have time to clean turbo. Guess I need to pick up some coolant too.
No crazy, only made for this one litle bolt, tools required? Hope not, there are too many to buy for my Porsche already.
Will grab the VC-9 today probably. No way studs can go in right now. Hoping with having 98K on it already and no plans to run a tuner I will not need them.
Many stock trucks before 2005 are known to blow head gaskets, your head bolts are smaller than the stock 2005. I had a 2004 bone stock, I was pulling my 7,000 boat and blew my head gaskets. If you are going to use yours as a Sunday driver, a grocery getter soccer mom then you will be ok.
While studs are nice to have, doing an EGR delete and oil cooler is DEFFINATLY NOT more then half way to studs. Your talking a 6hr job vs. a 20+hr job. The delete is something that a minor DIY'er can do without a problem, head gaskets is a pretty good undertaking, even for the pro.

Just going to act like I didn't read that. Makes me happier
Delete kit will not be here til Monday now it looks like. Hope the UPS man is early Monday.
Can I get everything else put back together minus the up pipe and the coolant reroute piece? From what i can tell I think I can. Looks like I will definately have time to really clean the intake spotless and look at the turbo now.
