4"downpipe

Ive been searching for a new turbo back exhaust, without the cat and wondering if they are all 3.5" downpipes? Im leaning the way of MBRP and wondering if i should stick w/ the 4" since at most ill only be adding a few bolt on parts.Ive been told the 5" is too big for basic power mods.I cant wait to hear the spool of the turbo but dont want to rush into anything.thanks from a newbie

The majority of AM exhaust offer 4" DP, but be warned fitment is an issue...doable, just not as easy...have to be concerned about contact with other components like the uppipes bellows, and tranny cooling lines.

I got the Magnaflow, also. 4" DP was a bear, I don't know how anyone can get it in no problem. Sounds great, but I don't think I could ever get it back out without pulling the cab; needed a block of wood and a maul to get it in!

Sounds great wide open, but I think you'd be just as well off with a 3.5" DP, probably a whole lot easier to get in place.

4" Magnaflow here also. I had the same experience as Pete's...downpipe went in easy.

The clamp that holds the elbow to the DP was the biggest pain for me...and I didn't get it tight enough the first time and it slipped enough to let the main pipe rub on the frame, so I had to loosen it up and re-fit...and tighten properly. No issues since (30k + miles).

Performance, doubtful, but cooler EGTs yes and that's really what you are wanting to get at particularly if you are adding a programmer into the mix.

No intake, waste of money. They don't flow more until you are well outside the usuable range of a stock or just tuned 6.0. You start adding mods like me then we can talk(FYI, there are still people that push more HP then I do and still use stock intake) and this isn't even getting into filtration issues as well.

Yes, that is correct. 5" is really only warrantied if you are flowing enough fuel and air to help push the exhaust through. Something that you will have to go with bigger sticks and bigger turbo to accomplish, tuning alone won't get you there.
