Finding a motor
I just spent hours at the junkyard looking for a motor for my 97 ford explorer 4.0 ohv, only to find that they have all been destroyed by cash for clunkers. Does anyone know where i could still find a reletivly cheap motor? I have searched long enough. Thanks!

The Pick-N-Pull salvage yard in Va. Bch. Virginia always has several 4.0 SOHC engines that are not Klunkers, They are often wrecks so you at least know they were running until the crash. Now that I've said that they might not have any for a few weeks. They will not verify condition or quote prices
over the phone, you have to check it out yourself. The last engine I bought cost about $150.00 plus core charge of $50.00 and that included all accessories attatched to the engine. Alt., starter, P.strg. pump, exh. manifolds and anything else except the trans and converter.
