I installed it and loved the power, but my shifting is real hard now and the pedal is sooo touchy that it makes the truck like rock. Idle sounds weird sometimes.
After I get on any setting even 80 eco my check engine light comes on then turns off??????
Also when I get pushing on it my turbo sounds weird and that's on 80 also. It sounds like the turbo can't push anymore or its skipping?
I'm not near a computer and only on my fone. I will check it every now and then. Thank yoU for ur help
Can't offer much as far as the DP Tuner at this point. Someone with more knowledge on the subject can answer that question. However, the turbo problem you are describing is what is known as surge. This can be cured with the addition of a Wicked Wheel or if you have the big bucks lying around, a ported shroud compressor housing. Hope this helps!
I cleaned the contacts real good, they were like perfect. I'm pretty sure its not that. Everything else works great. Except the things I stated...idk what to do :/
If it's random, then it's electrical. If it only happens when you get on it, then I agree with clux. I got the impression that it was coming on randomly or when you switch tunes. The idle will change since the tuning change will call for different idle RPM, HPOP psi and/or PW...
The idle will kind of shake the truck too...slightly tho
Mine does that as well....sometimes. It seems to do it when I come to a stop after getting into the throttle. But if I drive it normally (Depends on your point of view ) just a few seconds, it smooths out at the next stop. I just put it as nature of the beast... but I don't have any of the other issues. Although what I did find wierd was that when my UVCH acted up I didn't get an SES light.
I may be wrong but I think you can still throw codes with the no codes tunes.I have the no codes tunes but also the OBA installed so I never see a overboost cel come on...The noise you are hearing when you get on it is as stated above turbo surge.I had the same thing after dp install..I put in a wicked wheel and cured it ...A bigger housing will cure it for good but thats a bit more $$$$$....The go pedal is def more touchy but not to the point of whip lash or anything(only if I tried would that happen)on 80 E...
I get the same turbo flutter (what seems to be known as surge) but it never triggers a light. The idle isn't really rougher but the engine is louder, and not because of a difference in RPMs. The pedal is definitely touchy and can make it jerky, especially on rough roads.

You have to be very diligent in cleaning the contacts on the PCM and get them very clean without going through the tin and showing copper.
A different idle is normal with the tunes.
The codes you are getting are probably the overboost or the ICP or both. Not much you can with the ICP, but you do an OBA or it will still throw the overboost code, even with the 'no codes' tune. If it's the ICP then the HPOP is probably weak and can't keep up with the demand.
I'm putting my flame suit on here, but that 6637 has a major downside in helping that turbo surge/stall. I hated mine and took it off for an AIS. I also did the ported inlet housing. You'll be wanting to look in to a WW or ported housing now. If you don't, your turbo won't be happy and will let you know it soon.

My idle gets a lot louder in certain tunes -- the ICP is turned up from around 500 psi to about 700. That's because my injectors need a little more pressure to idle correctly. With the lower ICP, my truck's idle is a bit choppy. I wouldn't worry about that part. The touchy pedal is an issue though. Call up DP and talk to them about it...
