Sanderson 2.8" shackles and 4 inch Rough Country rear blocks. 305 tires on stock Alcoa rims. My ride was actually improved by adding this setup.
i am adding pics from most angles. You can see that on my truck the shackle kit did not over extend the front leaves. I ended up with the rear still 3/4 of an inch higher than the front, but when the camper is loaded it is level. Heavily loaded pic at end.

Why did you to extend the schackles that far instead of getting new springs that had a more positive arch?
Because they were gifts, and now after 2 years of running them I can't understand why someone would want to pay $400 to $800 for a level. Shackles were $50. New 4 inch blocks were $80 including new u bolts. total cost $130. I misspoke earlier, the 4" rear blocks are Super Lift blocks, not rough country. They came from 4 wheel parts in Houston.
its an 8000# truck, it rides like an 8000# truck. We drive heavy duty trucks, they come from the factory with a harsher ride than a 150 gasser, fact of life.
Chris, if you are looking for an inexpensive way to level Patti's truck, then this is the way to go. My wife rides with me all the time and in two years has never commented that my truck rides any different than before the shackles. Believe me, if the ride had gotten any worse, she would have said something.

Is that a custom made dual steer stablizer set up or some aftermarket one ?
I don't know if I'm that crazy about those long shackles hanging so far down. I guess it's another way to go if money is the bottom line. Since the long shackle would change the castor angle of the front wheels, how did that affect the alignment?

Aftermarket. I think it is a Rough Country dual kit. It was around $100 for the whole kit, including stabilizers, but that was like 8 years ago when I put it on. I have changed the cartridges once, and the two cartridges were $35ish each if i recall correctly.

Alignment remains unaffected. I have my alignement checked every 3rd tire rotation (15,000 miles) and the front end has never been out of spec since I bought the truck almost 10 years ago. I have all the print outs in my maintenance folder. Believe me, the tire shop I use WANTS to find something out of spec, so they can charge me to fix it.
i have the sanderson shackles on the front of my truck and it seem to reide just fine. i was just thinking of getting the sanderson 4.5" lift kit and gettgin a little more height, but not too much of course.
