Ok who has used one, and do they really make a difference on how the tranny shifts,
Im running 315/75/16 which comes out to 35" tires stock gear ratio 3:73
at 70mph = 75mph actually gps speed
I just had the tranny rebuilt for heavyduty / towing got 180k
out of it and was thinking of getting a superlift true speed tranny recalibration module.
Lets hear it what ya thinking on this tool.
There was one on my truck when I bought it, I have the same sized tires as you do, and gears, although mine is a 6spd so it not much of a bother to me. Yes it will make a difference in how the tranny shifts, although the difference would be so miniscule I doubt you would notice it. In my opinion if I were you I would just spend a little time and find someone on here in your area who has AE and have them recalibrate it. Dont get me wrong, the truespeed does a good job at what its intended to do, but I guess it really comes down to the individual preference. In my opinion for what you get out of it for $200+ I'd rather spend another $100 and get AE.

Just as Clay said, they hid that function in the ABS section. Once you open the ABS system for the vehicle you can find that function by opening the tab on the top right that says Test Onboard System. It is in the drop down box on that page. As Clay said, if you need any walk through with it, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to help you out.
Changing tire size using AE After the pcm logs on you will get the vehicle selection box. When it opens go to the bottom where it says System. It should already say Enhanced Powertrain. Click the drop down arrow and change it to anti lock brake then click on ok. After the truck connects click on the test on board system tab. Click the drop down tab next to the initiate button and select tire size. When that opens there will be a left and right arrow on the far right next to the initiate button. Click the right arrow to get a bigger tire, the left arrow for smaller tire.
