it can be done. u will need to find one of those "log" exhust.... one of thoes forged exhust that the v10 guys hate but they r the only ting u can run for this. slap a turbo on the back just behides ur fuel injectors... i have this set up (ATS) on my 84 6.9l idi... the PO had done the set up and i have noticed a lot of exhust leaks but i mean the thing still has a ton of tower. i love it, i dont pull very heavy loads cuz im only 18 and dont have anythign right now, but when im pulling something like 3000lbs and i got uphills and my rpm gague never moves my speed never moves but my psi gague goes from 0-2 its very nice. i dont have to think about ajusting my speed to get up a steep hill and that means i dont have some dang dodge guy trying to run up my tail pipe...
u cant pump more then like 10psi without upgrading headstuds, gasket, ect... and probly upgrading fuel systems.... but iv heard of ppl running 80psi thru stock fuel systems... but a ats turbo with aroud10psi of boost (wut i run) is very nice to have, i love it and my truck is stock mechanicaly and holds up just fine....
ill post a pic of my set up here tomorrow while i figure out my tranny problem so u can see the exhust system and how my set up is
