So it looks like my turbo seal is blown again after just 14mo. I'm looking for advice on what to do...
Rebuilt the turbo with a kit for $125
Get a new powermax turbo and sell the old turbo (rebuild first?)
Get a non-vgt turbo
Goals with truck - hey more power is always cool, I don't tow. Injectors are not in the near future though. I hate turbo lag and lack of boost/power at low rpms (even if it sacrifices top end power - I'm just not going to drive a truck at 3-4K rpms regularly).
i have read good things about the powermax but the one negative thing is turbo lag. i have just read that it is laggier than the stocker by a little but i think if you are running really hot tunning like the SRL++ you have posted in you signature then it may not be as noticeable as a stock truck or a mild tune.
