I think their is one guy on here that has not sure about results or what ifs?? On how it performed. I know on another web site their is a guy on their that has a centrifagul supercharger on his with a blow threw carb. What are u looking to do? Just curious?
I thought about it, but haven't even gone so far as getting my engine running yet. The big thing with using turbos on a FE would be fueling. You would either have to run a good blow through setup (probably duel carbs) or go fuel injected (which would be a pain, but much better for a turbo setup). Honestly a roots with the Blue Thunder manifold and a pair of draw through carbs would be a lot easier.
eh...just looking to have some fun haha, rebuilding my engine in the spring and i kinda wanted to have something to make it stand out, and im not looking to run alot of boost...just a couple pounds, pretty much to just say i have a turbo on it
It would probably be two turbos. If you were only after 5-6 lbs of boost, you could probably get away with a pair of parallel T3s (with larger exhaust housings) blowing through either a pair of normal 4-barrels or a monster 4-barrel (like a Dominator) in a blow through airbox. The other question is where are you coming up with the turbo manifolds?
If you go through with it, pick up a copy of Maximum Boost and definitely post pics when your done..
They're the ones that make the funky turbo setup that mounts further back in the exhaust, right? Like the muffler turbos for vettes/GTOs? Honestly, I don't see any reason that wouldn't work on a FE; its got more then enough exhaust gas to spool anything short of a locomotive or B-17 turbo. Again, if you do it, pics and a writeup.

Yea thats the system. If someone could figure the fuel system out. The mounting of the turbos would be easy..
As fas as exhaust manifolds. All you really need to to do is if you have headers is turn them around backwords facing the front. Yeah you will need to know a welder or know how to weld yourself and it will work. As far as the carb set up just look up Blow-Through Carburatos and you will find someone that can build u a nice one. Pro-Systems Carburator can build you one. Just remember you will need a fuel pump that can feed more pressure than boost, and a fuel regulator that will work off vaccum so the more boost you have the higher the fuel pressure will feed. I have done alot of research on this and am planning on this after I get my Diesel truck back up to par. So I have something to take it to the track with. The Turbo Forums.com
Here is a forum you can go look at if your really interested.
I am plaining on twins probably won't start on it till around the summer time.
