I use a spin on for the trans but the FS2500 is a cartridge, a mess to change but I think it does a good job. I got sucked in on their sales pitch years ago, it was expensive.

Agree. Works well but its a mess to deal with.
The trans is a full flow or bypass?
I have only seen 1 bypass setup sold on the market and its installed
inside the trans pan.
Dave, I'll have to look in the truck for that info, I'll get back later today if I can find it. Bill, the setup I bought was from Dieselsite for the trans, full flow designed to bypass if the filter gets clogged, I believe that's the correct terminology.
Dave, I paid $400 for it 4 years ago. Goggle FS2500 and you'll get their website for current info. They have a video (or did) that sold me showing how clean the oil stays. After I got mine and my oil got black I called up to complain. The guy asked me if I had been around diesels very much and I told him I've had VW diesels sense I bought my 81 Jetta new (it still runs!). He said that the oil will stain my hands and its hard to get them clean, right? I said right and he said to try that on my pickup now after I've been running the FS2500. I wiped the dipstick off on my hands and a rag wiped my hands clean. He said that's because the filter gets out the soot and keeps the oil cleaner. I still don't know for sure, I'm open to all comments.
IMO toilet paper belongs in the Library, not in my truck.
The FS2500 is a great system from what I have seen and heard.
But I went with the Amsoil bypass as it was cheaper than the FS2500 and still had good reports.
