electrical nightmare
Just puchased 2000 250sd cc 4x4 Trany was out, put tranny in ,everything going good till I went to use 4x4, would not engage, while trying to figure this out, testing switchs fuses ect. windows quit working an wipers, I hit the doorlock button and wipers would work!,also hit door lock and 4x4 would engage, windows still don't work . Is this the gem or a bad ground or what ? PULLING HAIR

Did the Prior Owner mention doing any work on the truck other than removing the transmission?
Is there any sign of water intrusion near the fuse box under the dash?
All the systems you mentioned are linked through the GEM.
Does the truck have a keyless entry system? Does it work? Is it aftermarket?
