Ok , my truck along with a couple of others I know of seem to leave a big spot right in the drivers side line of sight that the wiper will not clear. It does this no matter the time of year even with just rain, but in the snow and ice it really sucks.
Does anyone know how to correct this problem? They only do it over about 50mph.
I've been beating my head against the wall on this same problem. I tried several different wiper blades of a similar inexpensive brand. I tried tweaking the arm, bending it so it had more pressure. No matter what it still lifted at speed, left a spot right in my line of sight. It didn't seem to do this on the passenger side. I bought a new arm and that didn't fix it, I was hot.
I finally spent money on a quality wiper blade (in fact a premium rainx one) and I have no problems.
At low speeds, try one of the (grossly overpriced 'cuz they're new concept) "beam" style frameless wipers. They seem to work well for me.
At speed, look for an arm with as much spoiler or wing as possible. Years ago, it was possible to get attachments for the arm that caught more air to force against the windshield. Not sure if they are still available.
If you've gone to a larger wiper blade it will take more pressure than the stock size. I read a lot of people going from stock 20" to 24". I decided to just do 22" and it has enough pressure to keep them on the glass.
