4R100 trans. issues in '01 F250 SD &.3

Howdy all
Ok here you all go. I just rebuilt my trans and installed a new torque convertor. My problem is that when you go to put it in drive it won't pull and the overdrive OFF light flashes. It hooks great in reverse and in M1 and M2 but won't pull at all in drive. Im confident that it isn't the pump as it takes more line pressure in reverse and M1 than drive and like I stated it goes into rev. and M1 great. I pulled the valve bodies off and disassembled and reassembled them today. They looked and functioned great. I'm at my wits end trying to figure this one out so I would greatly appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.

If you put it in m1 it pulls and m2 pulls and rev. it pulls but if you start out in od/1 it slips.Ok so I got ahold of a $6000 diagnostic code reader and the codes that it is throwing all say the silenoids in the silenoid pack are all bad. sila, silb, ccs, tcc, epc, ttc. What do ya'll think? Is there a fuse that woks for all? My next step is to check the ohms of the pack and harness.

It sounds like its unplugged, I would check the connection at the trans. Look for bent pins inside the connector also.

Ok so the pins are good and the connections are tight. I didn't see any corrosion or any other issues. The actual codes thrown are:
P0741
P0743
P0750
P0755
P0782
P1746
P1754
At this point I am stuck.

Here is some info I found with setting all the codes, I would also check to make sure you didnt catch the harness for the trans between the engine and transmission when you bolted it back up.

1. Check fuse 23 of the Central Junction Box (CJB) for a blown, missing or poorly connected fuse.

2. If the fuse is found to be blown, inspect the wire harness, near the O2 sensors, for a possible chafe to ground of the sensor pigtails or harness.

3. If no obvious O2 sensor circuit problem is found, inspect the transmission sub-harness, above the transmission fluid pan to the shift solenoid pack, that may show signs of chafing to ground.

4. If no problems are found, install an in-line fuse at the transmission harness connector, that feeds the two Red/Yellow (RD/YL) wires, to see if the fuse blows instead of fuse 23 indicating a shift solenoid pack failure.

4R100 is back

Ok so the #23 fuse was good so I removed the solenoid pack to check the ohms. All I got was 0.00 so out of cuiosity I gave the pack connector a little twist and rechecked it. The solenoid B reads 19.0, sol A read 18.8, TCC PWM 13.4, CCS 18.8, EPC 4.0.I pulled the orange cover off and resoldered the connector which where all broke loose.
It pulls great in all gears and performs excellent.
Do yall think I should still replace the pack since the ohms aren't reading according to the ATSG manual?
Thanks for all the help.

I am not concerned with those readings, I would be leery of the solenoid block just because it had problems right out of the box. Good job by the way.

Having issues please help

so I have been having similar issues, after borrowing a friend's scanner I was able to diagnose the issue as the solenoid pack. So I replaced the solenoid pack started my truck and all was good for about 15 minutes. After shifting through all gears all the sudden it reverted to not being drivable. Hooked it back up to the scanner and it started pulling p1746 again. Checked fuse #23 all good, checked connections seem good. Is this an electrical issue or bad solenoid pack? Please help

So you replaced the solenoid pack and still have the same code? That pretty much eliminates the solenoid pack as the cause of the problem. 90%+ of these type of problems are due to damage to the wiring, not a bad solenoid. Somewhere between the PCM and the transmission connector you have a damaged wire. You can try and find it, or you can run a new wire from the PCM to the transmission connector. I know which one I'd do.

Yes I replaced the solenoid pact, before replacing it I had P0733, p0782, and the p1746. My truck was also undrivable, I would accelerate in gear and the truck would barely move. The only gear that seemed to work was reverse. After replacing the solenoid pack and having the battery terminals off my truck it operated normally immediately. I little hiccup from 1st to 2nd but that got better the more I drove it. I put around ten plus miles on it making sure all the gears worked and all seemed fine. Then it went right back to undrivable. When I put the computer on it still reads p1746. Like I said before I checked fuse #23 and it is not blown. I checked the wires around the transmission and all seem well. Where should I be looking next?
