Flywheel bead blast

In the process of replacing clutch assembly in 65 F100 with the 302. I had the flywheel turned 3 weeks ago and with seasonal whether the flywheel looks fairly crusty with a layer of surface rust. Before installing wonder if I should use sandpaper, wire wheel, or blasting cabinet using glass bead to clean the surface, or would it be best to leave well enough alone?>

Comment/suggestions appreciated!

The only thing you should be using is acetone to clean it. Everything else you mentioned should never be done to a surface that was machined flat.
