I got a new to me 1978 f150 2wd, (for FREE) w/400m, runs good and is my daily drive. This is my 4th truck to own, my first truck was a 76 f150 4x4, and ever since I had my first truck, I had dreams of restoring and putting in king ranch seats. After looking around though, I have never seen or heard of someone doing this, is there a reason for it? Surely I'm not the only one thinking of this. Is this possible (without extreme modification)? If any one has any pictures of it done with even lariat seats I would love to see pictures, actually, any picture of seats that resemble bucket seats would be nice.

There is mine. Not king ranch but they are out of an 04 intrepid. Most comfortable set I could find out of about 100 I checked. Never tried king ranch ones. Didn't want to spend much. Looks obviously weren't a concern, hunting truck mainly and wanted comfort. Took about a half a day to fab up a mounting system.
Somewhere there is a guy on here with lariat seats. You should look for his truck, his definitely worth looking at. Green and tan, one of the cleanest trucks I've seen. I'm sure someone can tell you who, or maybe he'll see it..
