I searched through the gallery for Explorer pics because I am sending an email off to my graphic designer to cut me some stripes... Thanks to everyone who helped me correctly identify my Explorer.
A good friend of mine has a 75/76ish F150 SC long bed 2wd sitting in the yard that has the same strip as Tees77f150's pic but when it gets to the hood, it wraps over it just to the front of the cowl. I wouldnt mind to have it but cant find a good enough reason to buy another 1/2 ton.

I know what you mean, but you don't see them a lot anymore around here anyhow. Grab a picture of it and posted it if it is not to much trouble. I always loved how the striping changed from year to year.

not trying to hi jack the thread or anything but where exactly is this friends house and how much does he want for the truck?
Check out OrangeJuice gallery. I know it is not a 78 but it shows the sides and a little of the hood strips. The owner would post more pics of the hood if asked. He is also thinking of a redo of the paint and would be interested in new decals if you find a way to have some made. He has been thinking, maybe, of hand painting them after a paint job. I say this because I have many hours of labor (the brain that guides the hand) in this truck as well as the $$ after he finished HS and started trade school. Being 6ft 7in the mimi-truck at the time just did not fit him. He has taken very good care of it the past 18 years and has made it better. He is working on his friends 77 Free Wheeler (FruitPunch) which has a much different set of decales which need to be replaced.
hey nice pics, the first pic is the twin to my explorer, i'm lookin for a set of stripes for the truck as i'm doing a restoration on it, if you had yours made can you let me know who did it or any info on the stripes sizes would be great, mine where removed when the truck was repainted years ago, but i have a pic of it from 1980 when my grandfather bought it, any help would be great, thanks,
