40 20 40 truck seat

What year 40 20 40 seat will fit into the 73-79s? I think the 93-96 will fit but not sure about others.

Im not sure, but id say the 73-79 super cabs would have at least a split seat that would work in there. Dont know about a 40 20 40 though.

anything up to 96 will work by using your original bracket thing....anything else will require mods

With a little imagination anythnig will fit. Here is my 02 or so 40/20/40 seat install in my 74 crew
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...t-install.html

As for the supercab seats - they are a bench just like the standard cabs - but the bench is split in 2 in the back rest portion so either side will fold forward. Here's a couple pics of my 74 supercab Not the greatest by any means - but you get the point...

I'm coming in late to this discussion, so not sure if you've already gotten something for your truck, but I've found this site that has a bunch a possibilities. I'm linking you to the most "economical" seat, but there is a whole section just for pick up truck seats...40-20-40

affordable pick up truck bench seat 40 20 40

I hope that helps!

$850 + shipping is "economical"????????

I get used, stock seats in GREAT condition for $100-200. I'd still try that route for sure!

I got my seat out of the pull-a-part for $65.00. It is a 40/60 with a fold down center console/armrest. I'm not sure what year truck it came out of but it appears to be a 200x since what was left looked pretty new. I had to fab up the brackets but that was less than a days work.

I thought I had some pictures but can't find them now so when the snow stops I will go out and take some.

Belt Sleeves

mikedc8371,

I have the exact same seats in my 79 supercab, even the same color. What did you use for sleeves for the female seatbelt ends? Mine keep falling onto the floor.

I'm not an expert but those seats look like a mix job. I have the same center seat/ console in my 2001 F-250 and the other two seats are that same as my dad's old 99 F-250.

Irregardless it looks great and more importantly comfortable.
