Any really good upholstery shop can get a good match on the leather... But you may find yourself ahead to just have yours all restitched with the leather you want over trying to match the funky faded king ranch leather. As for the crew bench it's been asked before and it seems the answer is that it's totally different, plus wouldn't allow access to the third row. Plus is way smaller. Would be a downgrade. Flip open your phone book and call some auto upholsterers. I'm guessing it would be between 3 and 5 grand to redo all three seats in half decent leather.
Pretty much what he said (reps sent BTW), but I just didn't have the time to type it up earlier. Also the old leather while bad *** at first looks like crap down the line and isn't repairable. The only fix is replacement so I think it's a huge waste. If Livinglarge said he was going to have his entire truck professionally redone in it I would sit on the edge of my seat waiting for the pictures but anyone else there is no way it will be done right.
What I did was found a local excursion that had a perfect interior (2005 with 39,000 miles). I offered owner 5k and my almost perfect interior, next morning I had my interior guy swapping it out.
I really was considering just having it all redone by a top notch company but at the end of the day really preferred oem.
Get some Katzkin it will look way better than king ranch ever did and most likely last you a lot longer, plus you can spend around 1k-2k on it and completely customize it from the stitching, engravings, and different types of materials (leather, gator skin, snake skin, etc.) on the seats, if you can find a dealer close to you sometimes they will have deals going on overstocked materials and you could get lucky and score all three rows for 1k but might be limited in color, but thats if the company has any overstock at that time.
And redoing all seats are easy, its litterly some bolts and nuts, some hog pins, and heavy duty velcrow, only extras you will need to buy is razors, hog rings, and hog ring pliers, and tools if you dont already have them. Being your first time and taking your time on it to make sure not to ruin the new upholstry with cutting it wrong, should not take you longer than 5 days depending on how long your work on it each day.
Iv only done 7 vehicles (mustangs, expeditions and f150s) but with me and the main tech doing it, we could get through the expedtions with 3 rows in about 12 hours time, but two days worth of work days.
