So after alot of thinking i went ahead and decided to start the "facelift" on my truck! It started a couple months ago with the gauges, headlights, then window tint, then stripping my badges. So here are the pics as of now.
Oops i almost forgot about the DP tuner!!!!! Now i know what perma-grin really is!!!
To strip your badges, get some acetone, nice wide masking tape, some shop towels, and an old toothbrush. Take your time and tape up a good 10-12" around the badges so you don't get any acetone/black spatter on your paint. Use the shop towels and go at it patiently, and use the toothbrush carefully in the nooks & crannies you can't get to with the towels. Took me a little over an hour to do them all. I did mine a few years ago -- I really like the look.
EDIT: Hard to see in far-off pics, but here's what mine look like:
The Red Dp Tuner Sticker came from RRE back in August, a lil girl name JL handed it to me and just walked off!!! I knew it must have been my "sign"!! The badges werent as difficult as i thought they would be, i used acetone, cotton ***** and Q-tips, and a substantial amount of masking tape.
JD,
