When I switched my gasser from auto to manual hubs you had to replaces the spindle nut and there was a weird one as well as a regular one that was very large. They are replaced with standard 4 spline/ tooth nuts to get the odd one off I took a screwdrive and carfully hammered it loose unscrewing it till I could take it off by hand.
