Huh, guess im another of those poor ignorant fools that has seen and owned a ttb dana 44 w/ the bigger brakes and 8 lugs, that isnt called a ttb dana 44HD. But dont mind me, im no "expert"
Yeah, this guy upgraded to a dana 50 ttb. He had a dana 44. you can't say he's wrong.
BTW blue rebel, I especially like your F250, that bumper is bad ***, I don't care what they say about your D rings or your bumper mounts. I'm gonna make one basically just like that I think, If that's alright with you.
Thanks for the compliment man, if you do make one like mine make sure whoever you get to do your welding knows what hes doing. one weak weld and this thing could become real dangerous. lucky me i know a guy.

Im not too big to admit when Im wrong. I openly admitted I was no expert on TTB axles (thanks for clarifying Paul!) and am always eager to learn....so thank you.
I will say this is the first time Ive heard of a D44HD TTB but I must add that Ive always assumed the 8 lug versions are 50s without checking. Its quite possible Ive run across a few in the past. My only experience working on ANY TTB axle was replacing busted axle shafts, hubs, and bushings. 10yrs ago I was quite good at it from all the practice but apparently I hadnt lost my touch after rebuilding my buddys 44TTB in his 86 F150 this past spring.
I am by far an expert on the TTB axles so please educate me further.
Sorry, I took this to mean how you typed it. Read like you were being a dick to the guy. Theres always more to learn, and i am always happy to share what I know

Hey man, no problems. After all, who wants to be an expert on theses axles anyways? they're pieces of junk! We only know about them cause we have to put up with them.
