How to tell if my truck has the TPMS installed?

I have a 2009 XLT 350. When I brought it home, I found a small white remote with a green button in the glove compartment. It was labeled as the tpms learing tool. If you did not get one of them, then I guess you can always take some air out of one of the tires and see if a light comes on. lol
Before you start your truck next time , check your dummy lights,,, dash cluster right before you turn the engine to start, do you see any yellow icon indicators representing a flat tire. It would be yellow. That is the setup in my 2009 350 XLT. Once the truck is started the light should go out, if the tires are inflated properly.
Hope that helps out.

TPMS
No dash light when you turn the key on, no indication of the light opening in the dash and I just put my snow tires on last month without TPMS in them and everything is normal.

Edit: Oh I was thinking you had an 09... maybe they were opt in 08 then std in 09?

Thats interesting, it was not optional equipment for mine, came standard (I did pick all the options for mine and only what I needed). Mine actually came on pretty quick as the dealer didnt have enough pressure in em (I hear they air em down under spec so they ride a bit nicer when you test drive em). I wonder if maybe becasue you have duals? Would they be different for dullies?

would like a system with actual pressures, not just light. We have this on our suburban, and just an idiot light on the nissan which seems to be on all the time for some reason..

In MY 2007, Ford put TPMS into half tons. Even the F150 with the heavy duty payload package didn't get those until 2008. Even with that, I think it was late in the MY 2008 before all SD trucks got them.
A way to find out would be to call your local Ford parts counter and ask them to look up the sensors based on your VIN. Nothing should show.
