I also have 285/75/16's on the factory alloy wheels and they look good and give me no rubbing they are the equivalant of a 33 inch tire I think you will be very pleased with this size but this is my opinion!!
yeah, its a good truck, i just need to weld in some new floorboard before i hit the ground on the next speedbump, you can see the ground through the holes! lol, but the frame is solid, heres another pic of the rear, i just love how it blows black smoke out those stacks,
