This was an advertising banner in this FTE site quite awhile ago and ever since is in my favorites - seem to have stuff other's don't.

Choose "Online Now" button for Early V-8's & Pickups
then do the advanced search using the catagory & year.
There are pictures of most items so that you can see what it looks like and the stock #.
I have a 1950 F-47. They have been extremely helpful, and even arranged to have one of their shop guys call me at work to discuss an issue I was having trying to fabricate a steering bushing.
In their catalog, I have found every single piece of my truck except for the cowl vent cover and the Canadian F-47 tags.
Well Macs ain't got it either. So it looks like back to plan A.
Has anybody here tried making their own taillight lens.
I've done the parking lights by moding other lens but the taillights wrap around so they would have to be formed.
Many moons ago I saw an article or ad in Street Rodder about a kit to make your own lens but have'nt found anymore refs since then. Ideas?

These things are the holy grail of the Orphan Years panel trucks. I think I must have bought last the existing NOS stock pair in 1997 from Ray's Antique Auto Parts in RI. Checked with him & RB Obsolete last week - no joy. I found another pair on a hulk in a junkyard in Minnesota last year but the owner wouldn't sell because it was too cold to go outside and work (maybe they're still there) ! If you want to take the shotgun/dragnet approach, the casting # is TRST57A - just e-mail every bandit out there. Of course you never know what will show up on E-bay.
There are still some NOS taillight sets out there. I got one through Ebay complete with housings, lenses, gaskets, and mounting template a couple years ago, for less than $250.
Set up a saved search, including the part numbers for the lenses and kit in case a seller doesn't know what they fit. I'd been watching Ebay a long time before I caught that set.
WIGATI (when I get around to it) I'm going to look into getting duplicates molded using the NOS lenses as a pattern.
