Whats up? I baught some Engry suspension cab mounts from summit last night and got them. Well I was reading some threads ,and Im a little confused...DoI need to buy bigger hard ware bolts. Or Something about sleaves or washes that dont come with it.
One more thing do I have to get an alligement after I put them in.
Thanks
Ottney
I've only replaced the cab mounts on one truck...mine... and it wasn't fun!!!
From what I've read and seen my guess is you will need new hardware...but maybe not! Some one once posted that the hardware was available from an aftermarket source but I can't remember where it was. You can also buy new hardware from ford...but if I remember correctly it was a bit pricey.
You don't need bigger bolts or washers... just good ones, not the ones from the corner store or wal-mart...lol
And you dont have to worry about an alignment... just make sure you do one side at a time and that you don't mess with the way the cab and front rad support sit on the frame... it can be a bit of a pain to align it all if it get's out of wack.
Yeah Im an iron worker and we have a local hardware store real close so they grade 6 shouldent be a problem. I seen the ford ones or the kit, I acutally think it was one of your post and they wanted 245 for it....I paid less for my plow haha!!!
Just tryin to get some good input before its all torched/drilled/ripped out tommaro!
