ive had 2 replaced under warrnty, think another might be going out. whats a good aftermarket replacement, how much more performance if any can i expect. just replaced plugs, should i upgrade injectors too
Reagan, I changed my COP set with the Accel set from Summit for about $280 last year when I changed the plugs. You can't beat the price per coil at $280 for 8 coils. I don't know about the injectors. They should be in good condition if you run a top teir gas and change your fuel filter as recommended.
when passing just after it downshifts theres a slight missfire. the first time i took it to dealer they replaced the injector, no change. took it back and new coilpack, no more problem. after getting another replaced on warranty, i notice the same thing at 112k. no more warranty so im just going to replace all of them
anybody try granely. i got a mustang shop trying to sell me a set of Granely coil packs for 300 bucks. also how do the msd ones do/cost. im not looking for super performance but longevity
MSD does not make a coil for the 5.4-3V engine yet. The Accel set is a good higher output coil set for the money. Granetelli makes a few sets but they are more expensive than the Accels.
