What else to replace when replacing ac compressor?

What else should I replace when I replace the A/C compressor? What is all involved when replacing the compressor?

orings on hose fittings must be replaced with new ones maybe some refrigerant oil check the hoses for any cracks or tears

if the system has been empty or open for any period of time it's higly reccomended to replace the dryer..they rust out quickly inside when the system is opened or drained for any period of time. They are not that expensive..can be purchased at your local pep boys, advance auto, autozone..etc.

If your system is still charged you'll need to recover the R-12 before opening the system. You'll have to pull a vacuum on the system before recharging.
