Hey guys. I have a '75 F-250 with column shift C-6. I can move the steering wheel up and down, and can see the bushing in the end of the column is shot. Also, the shifting in the column is sloppy and moves freely, rather than clicking into gear.
It is difficult to tell from the LMC truck's diagram which parts I need. Can someone help me out?
Would a '78 tilt column bolt in my '75?
I've also been looking at a floor shifter from Lokar. Has anyone done that conversion?
MOST of the time all you would need is an upper bearing or bushing and a lower bearing or bushing. Then put a new shift collar on and that should take care of your problem, unless something on your shift tube itself is worn or broken. Bruce
