Got me some Silverstar ultras- Pass. side, no problem- Drivers side is real tight, cant get my paw in there. Do I need to remove battery or will light assembly come out easier, If so How? Tanks, Bill

Your battery will be much easier to remove than the headlight assembly IMO.
If you can get it to go in (only one way), getting that stupid ring thing to turn enough to lock is a bieotch. I think I used channel locks once to do it. It's possible, but is a definite exercise in dexterity. LOL
The first time I did it I tried it with the batteries in and gave up. If I'm working in the front with bulbs I just save the trouble and remove the battery.
x2 on the batt hold down. I wouldnt use anything but your hands on it. Just kinda work it back and forth. If you use tools you may break the bulb coupling.
I finally got it, without pulling the battery but it wasnt easy. Had to put some vaseline on my arm to get it out,LOL. The wifey was standing there laughing & giving me moral support . Hope that bulb lasts a good long time, dont want to have to do that again any time soon.Those are some bright bulbs.
