What side is ptu on?

Hello, need some info is the ptu on drivers side or passenger side,

sorry its on 2005 escape awd it has a leak on drivers side at the output shaft, I put a seal in it and it has started to leak again, is the transmission there or ptu???

The PTU is what's connected to the drive shaft.

correct but does the drivers side half shaft go into it or the passenger?

The passenger side go through it. I've haven't looked closely at it but I believe it passes through but not connected to it. That's the longer side so it's different.
