Thought i would share....We have some neat plans for our new project Tow-Haul over the fall/winter.. Stay tuned .... as i will be updating this thread as we make progress..
Specs are :
shes all stock... 2000 F250 xl 2wd auto 66k org. miles... with of course the V10
(Green) Bone stock vs (Red) 87 octane tune... Graph is choppy as i narrowed Y axis a bit to see the variance better.. Truck has 3.73 gears and is strong and quick being a 2wd..
Looking forward to seeing the final results. This is perfect for me. I have a 2001 super cab F350 with a 5 speed man behind a v10. I have a 8700 lb fiver that I pull with it. This project will give me an idea on what I need to do to my truck to make it into a great puller.
Hi All
Just wanted to update this thread. A couple of months ago we started fabbing up a low boost single turbo for our tow / haul project. We have a ways to go before completion. Nothing real pretty but should be very functional. There are some things we will be changing most likely. Cost and Ease of installation is the blue print behind the build up. I did not set out to have turbo location undertruck but seems to be best for install and costs but may prove better to fit other vehicle applications in the end. aka 2wd,4wd,5.4L motor and maybe Eseries vehicles. Have to start some where right?
I am hopeful that once final fabbing, tuning and towing testing are complete; we can maybe offer them as a kit of some sort to the public. Not sure when that would be. This build up is strictly about hauling and towing performance.
