Hi Ed
No need to test with your truck just yet. We have had to send the Turbo off again to Turbonetics for repair. This is the second time for seals in the turbo. If they can not repair this time we will find a rebuilder or purchase another brand of turbo. I have not been too happy with Turbonetics and their support.

One side note: I have a true diesel guy that runs a diesel repair shop helping me out on this project because of the limited time i have.. Well when he drove the truck testing for me .... He commented to me; "wow i got to have me one of these here ".... And to think he drives a Duramax making 400 hp... I think he has experienced the BSEG!

Hi jstnromero
Thanks.. Just working out the kinks, project is just taking too long (sorry all who's following along). . We will go back and clean up the bends in some places to make it look a little better once we get turbo oiling issues corrected.

Hi Thanks for asking

With all the delays on sending turbo out for repair we decided to take a step back and rework some of the piping to make it more universal for 2wd and 4wd Superduty trucks. We are also going to mount the turbo a little different than what we had originally planned as well. Its been a long project no doubt but from what i have driven it , it will be a solid improvement for those looking for more towing power be it in a Superduty truck or RV with the V10.

Sorry for crappy pic

Hi thanks for asking.
No kits just yet. Hp increase dont know. I am hoping when its all said and done at least 70 hp and around 100 ft lbs of torque at the wheels for gains and with stock reliability for towing.

I know it's waaaay early in R&D, but how's the mileage or better yet will the mileage suffer in off-boost driving?

Hi Sand man
I am hoping for no mileage loss if keeping it under 3000 rpms, at 3000 ish rpms is when boost comes on and additional fuel is used. Thats the plan anyway.

Have any idea what the minimum fuel octane requirements will be with the system?

At least 91 octane no less than that. And that may be a draw back for some having to run at least 91 all the time but its nature of the beast.

Given that your 93 performance tune gives me about 18% better MPGs, while the gas itself is only 10% more than 87, I think that's a win If the turbo setup is a no-mpg-loss.

Are you serious about an 18% improvement? That's huge, I gotta get one of those things and soon.

Small Update!
Here is the universal ypipe that should fit 2wd / 4wd 6.8L and 5.4L.

And I also found the test trailer for when tow/haul project is complete for reliability purposes or for maybe the next 0-60 video on a 15% grade Who's pulling first?
