I just got back inside from doing my in-tank and pre-pump mods with the kit from one of our suppliers..... and I must say that I am very disappointed. I had a friend come over to help me drop the tank, and we got all of it put together, reinstalled the tank and installed a fuel filter in from of the fuel pump. All in all it took us close to 6 hours after we got off work. After everything was buttoned up, we primed the fuel lines as I watched the clear filter under the truck. He fired it up and the truck runs just like it used to, but it is still drawing A LOT of air from somewhere...
Looks like I will be pulling the bed off this time so that I can take a closer look at everything as the truck is running...
Oh well... It's 1:30 am... I am tired, and really, really angry......
hmm.. maybe get a 1/2 tank in her and take a spin.. might be just something weird.. mine has bubbles.. took a spin.. looked again no bubbles and she quieted down..
I used the ITP in-tank kit and have been very happy with it (had it almost 2 years now). I didn't use any clear filters or tubing, but I topped off after I was done and within about a day it was noticeably quieter, especially that first cold start in the morning. I also installed a stainless steel high pressure oil cross-connect line too so I'm not sure how much each one made a difference, but it was definitely noticeable.
I used the kit from Diesel Innovations. Very happy with the quality of components in the kit, the instructions could have been a little more clear, but I already knew what to do. The pump is still on the rail, and i replaced all of the fittings inside the tank..
All of the quick connects got replaced by rubber fuel line with hose clamps on both ends. I also replaced the quick connect right at the fuel pump too...
Not trying to hijack... Does the kit come with new clamps for the fuel line after the in-line fuel pump? Mine has those junk quick connects and they appear to be wet. I want to do the in-tank mods, but want to eliminate all of those junk quick connects in the process.

It comes with about 18 inches of new hose, 4 hose clamps and a little inline filter.
To the OP.. the one thing you might not have done is really tighen down the fittings on the SS tube. We really had to crank them down or we could pull the whole bottom off the pick up tube assembly.
No -- the connections after the pump are left alone, Jason. At least, in all the kits I've seen. You could just replace the lines with something after market.
