driveshaft center bearing bolt problems
I have a 02 SD Supercab long box 4X4 with a PSD and a 6 speed. Yesterday I tried removing the rear driveshaft to replace the U-joints and center bearing. All was going well until I tried removing the two bolts that hold the center bearing keeper in place. The factory "slider nuts" or whatever they are spun in their keepers and I cant find any shoulders on them to put a wrench on to keep them from turning. Has anybody out there ran across this problem or have experience with these things? Any help would be much appreciated.
