Make sure you have ALL of the bolt out. They are known to crack and break inside the carrier leaving a small piece can result in pin not coming out. It can be a real pain. That's why they say to replace the bolt and not re-use.

You don't remove the spiders to remove the axles. You push the axles inwards, remove the clips then pull the axle out.

His carrier pin will not slide out, so he can't push the axles in to get the c clips out to slide the axle shafts out.

steelhorse yes have all of the bolt out was only small tip of bolt broke off and that was recovered as well, still pin will not come out used a punch and hammer it will only move about 3/8 inch as i,ve been told these pins usually fall out once holding bolt is removed

Then you have some problems. Yes it should slide out easily. How was the fluid when drained and why are you pulling axles?

pulling axles to replace axle seal passenger side started leaking plan on replacing axle bearings as well since i have this apart the problem with the pin arouse and noticed one of the spider gears has a chip in it as well so plan on replacing those as well next brain fart is to drill out the pin so i can remove the axles and replace all parts needed there was very little fluid in the pan truck is a 1995 f150 4wd with 280,000 miles on it so thinking the worst without replacing the whole rearend
