A couple of weeks ago I posted that I had a problem with a v6 chevy silverado. Yes it basically broke down while it was parked and was running fine when I parked it.
The problem was a partially frozen distributor. I replaced the spark plugs as well and I am thinking that the mechanic who fixed it replaced the plug wires as well. They said that the distributor was a problem that was very rare. I heard that it was partially due to rust and occurred on some trucks.
Now the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is on and the engine sometimes has a miss in it. I am wondering what can be done to bet the light to go off and what problem might be causing the miss in the engine. I had the oil and filter changed when I got it out of the shop.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.....Nomadic
The SES light is just telling you that the computer has detected a fault and has stored a trouble code. Take it to one of the stores that read codes for free. May be something simple.
