Anyone here ever used "chrome" paint? I'm thinking about trying it to refurbish the reflector assembly on a pair of fog lights that have flaking reflective material. Anyone?
I tried chrome paint several years ago.To me it didn't look much different than silver paint.
It's been a while so maybe it's been improved over the years?
I just redid the reflectors on my taillights. They were bare metal in the first place and had really gone dull, so I hand polished them with a Scotchbrite pad and then some fine steel wool. They came out okay but I could have gotten them even better with a little buffing wheel on a Dremel tool. But I think they're shinier as is than they would be with that fake chrome paint...
But I don't know about redoing the inside of fog lights that are coated with reflective material. Of course you'll need to get the old stuff off as much as possible first as you'll want a smooth surface, and come to think of it, I have seen some newer fake chrome paint that's maybe a bit closer to chrome-looking than it used to be, so I suppose it's worth a shot...
