Headlights
Good evenin, I am new to the forum, an just wanted to say Hello and get some insight on a little problem. Got a 1989 F350 Crew Cab long bed with 135,000 miles on a 460 an a new AOD, truck still runs and drives great, however I am having a little trouble with the headlights, new switch, new dimmer switch and cannot find any shorts, and grounds seem to be ok, BUT after the lights have been on for 30 or 45 minutes they start flickering on and off........... no pattern just at random???????? Even tried bypassing the dimmer and still does the same ......... any ideas???

Sounds like you got a dud headlight switch, (auto zone????) there is a circuit breaker in the headlight switch, and it is opening up and coming right back on, I'll bet it will mess up sooner if you run high beams.
I had an old 76 one time that I could run the low beams all I wanted to, but hit the high beams and they were flashing in about 5 minutes!!! New NAPA headlight switch cured it.....
