You may want to start investigating the FICM. I have read alot of people posting low mpgs and fuel smell exhaust that end up having to replace the FICM. Maybe you can have it plugged in and codes checked.

Additional things on our trucks that will hurt your mileage:

4.10 gearing -- standard on duallys and optional on single rear wheel rigs. How much? who knows maybe 1-4mpg depending on load and driving conditions

Dually- more rolling resistance, more reciprocating mass, more aerodynamic drag from rear fender bump outs. How much? who knows maybe 1-2 mpg

stop and go city driving -- Lets face it, constantly starting 8000lbs from a dead stop takes alot more fuel.

Lift kits-- taking a big brick and making a bigger brick......

more aggressive tires -- more aerodynamic drag, more rolling resistance

FICM nail hit on the head i think. With the running conditions im having it makes sense. Where is the best place to get one. Is there aftermarket ones that are better or what.
