I'm getting really itchy to level my truck( raise the front end). Thanks to F350-6 post on another threadhttps://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1256858845
I can now see how everything goes together (simple spacers). My problem is I've never done anything heavier than replacing the pads .
Does any one have a set of instructions I can look at to see if its something I reallly want to tackle. Some of that looks like really heavy duty work and I may not have the appropriate tools, jacks, etc.
Hey THANKS Matt, that was fast and exactly what I needed. I've never done suspension before and didn't know if I had to mess with the big parts. Looks easy enough floor jack, jack stands, hand tools. And "spring compressor" is that something I should buy or "borrow" from parts store?
I dont have a kit yet so guess I'll do some shopping today.
Alright Johh no problem. It is really simple. I have never done anything with suspension before either and this was a breeze. I didnt use a spring compressor. I will PM you my phone number.
I PM'ed you my phone number. If you do end up getting this kit, give me a call if you have any questions. I have a few little tricks to installing this kit....
Got your # on file, thanks. and i will call you when I get the set.
Did you have to change out your shocks? Do you have any before / after pics?
I pull a fifthwheel (who'd of guessed) and the back doesnt go down enough to keep my bed rails level with the 5er. Thinking this will really help AND look good too. Did you get a 2"or 2.5"?
I got the 2 inch system. No i did not have to replace my shocks either. Here is the link to my original thread. There you will find the before and after pics:
It's surprisingly simple to pull the spring. I did not use a spring compressor when I swapped my springs. If you've got a front sway bar, unbolt the U-shaped clamps on that. Then you just need a couple of jacks, a good extension to reach that lower nut, and you're in business.
