So i put the 2 inch leveling blocks in the front of my 2WD F-350. I know there was some speculation that this would ruin the ride or you would need to get an alignment. Well after installing this kit, i found that the comfort of the ride was not compromised at all nor did i have to get an alignment done. It lifted the front up just perfect to where the truck is level now and was a very easy install. Just thought i'de share this for anyone thinking of using this kit.
They sit right underneath the springs and everything gets bolted back up the same. So you have the whole weight of the truck on the blocks. I haven't had any problems with it and i've hit some pretty bad bumps.
Matt, You DO need to get a front end alignment you have changed the entire geometry of the truck. That is the same kit I used on my truck and after the install it did not seem as if I needed an alignment but walk away from the front of your truck and look at your front wheels and they will look like this \---/
See that's what i was told would happen. My tires are perfectly straight. No camber at all, no shaking in the wheel, no drifting when i let go of the wheel. These are all things that people said would happen and none of them did. I've been driving like this for a couple months now and none of these problems have happened.
That's the exact same kit I've been eyeing. Looks like Bob has dropped his price. When I spoke with him, he also has the capability of having different spacer ehights made custom fro an additiona $10 per kit. I was thinking about doing to 2-1/2 inch kit myself. After seeing your before/after shots, though, I might just stick with the 2-incher.
Yeah Pete, i had thought about going with the 2 1/2 inch as well but a buddy of mine cam over with his tape measure and measure how much the difference was from front to back. The only thing is i forget exactly what he measured. Sorry couldn't be more help.
That looks good Matt. I have been thinking of doing this but I pull a travel trailer and worry about the back looking like it sags when hooked up. Hmmm?
Thanks for the comp. I don't know how heavy your camper is, but i pull a 20 foot boat and there is no sag at all. Unfortunately i don't have any pictures with the boat on there. I dont know if i don't get sag because of the DRW or not but.
