as you can see in the picture my truck isnt level. i put rough country leveler springs up front at first but still didnt level it, raised it but not level, then, i think, 2 1/2" lowering shackles on the rear, still not level. found out that adding 2" to the front only gave me a 1" up in the front and a 1" down in the back, same as the lowering shackles, like a tedar -toder effect. now i have some of those urethane, i think,2" spacers i could add to the front, that just might make me level. when i added the leveler springs it cost me $120.00 to get my front end aligned and wonder if theres a way to see by adding another 2" to it what kind of problems im going to get into. infact on my about me page it shows my truck before and after the lowering shackles. not much difference.
Why would you want your truck sitting level??? One reason Ford sits the front down about 2 inches is to make it a little more aerodynamic for fuel consumption, but I believe the biggest reason is because when you put a load in the bed of the truck, it should bring it close to level so your nose isn't pointed in the air, and you're not trying to see over the hood, also with the nose in the air it could cause handling issues.
i have air bags on the rear. i hardly carry a load and when i do the bed might go down all of 1", which in that case almost makes it level.as for why, why do people put mags on there trucks, add chrome grill guards and so on and so on. i really like the look of these truck sitting perfectly level, and like i said have rear air bags with a on-board compressor.
I got 1.75" of lift out front (Moog CC844 & 0.5" spacer) and IIRC had to set the camber bushings at +2.75 degrees (factory setting was +0.75 degrees). They max out at +3.2 degrees (then have zero caster). So you can't lift the front much more than 2", maybe 2.25", and still get it into alignment without using an actual lift kit with drop brackets.
Why are so many people obsessed with making an empty pickup truck sit level?
I got this thing, I think a 4WD should be a little nose down. But to the point a 2WD looks great with the *** up high with bigger tires in the rear then the front. Like a 31 up front, a wide 35 in the rear, and the same suspension height so the tire makes the rear taller and the rear tire is stuffed. IMO it's both great looking and functional, well for all but spare tires.
Shoot if it wasn't so impractical I'd consider it with a 4WD, put 3.55s up front and 4.10s in the back with corresponding tire size differences. Just for kicks I did the math, with those ratios a 32 up front and 37 in the rear works.

Look I understand everybody has different preferences so this is just my opinion, but if you ask me that looks stupid too.. I don't even like that look on old muscle cars.. I'd rather see them slammed.
But a pickup truck is supposed to sit a little higher in back when it's empty, not a lot but enough so that when you put a small load in the bed the headlights aren't aimed up in the sky.

Agreed 100%
Also, the OP should fill out a signature so she know what kind of truck he is asking about
why do i even have a truck. because im a roofing contractor and work out of it. yeah i actually need a truck, really. but being organized i dont have to carry around much, my tools and ladder. material is loaded on the jobs and hardly have any waist to haul off. always like the noise up just a bit on 4X4, like the old bronco i had or my jeep. but as i stated, even if i put 800 pounds in the back the bed only goes down about 1" or so because of the airbags, they work great. guess im use to jeeps and broncos sitting level. if you look in the pictures youll see that even with front leveler springs and rear lowering shackles im still raked. you can imagine the rake i had before, like a old hotrod.
I'm curious as to what kind of roofing you do with very little waste. I do the same thing for a living and we have a ton of waste because we normally tear off the old roof before we put on new shingles.
Do you have a different crew to tear off the roofs? Or do you only do go-overs and new roofs?

See to me that is a truck with a sacked rear suspension in need of repair. I don't know man I think your truck looks perfect the way it is.. pickups aren't supposed to look like they're permanently carrying a load.. IMO.
