There are 2 forum sites I belong to, this being one of them. Both are friendly and mostly polite. However, there are times that I feel both have another very important trait. When there are good very in-depth discussions being started that are on the verge of being controversial, they are diverted, shut down, or dismissed because it "might" question the general concensus of beliefs or views about particular modifications or add-ons. When I say that these discussions are dismissed or diverted, it is often times because other forum members, mods, or sponsors do not want to hear what is being said, don't believe it, or feel that it's "bashing".

I notice this more on the other site I'm on, but one particular moderator will change other user's posts, or delete them completely if he personally doesn't like they way the thread is headed. That I don't agree with. I haven't noticed that on FTE.

As for Jason's stance on this issue, I read a thread started by him earlier today that, to me, was FAR from negative or disrespectiful to bring up. I thought he asked a simple question and followed up with a proper response as to why he asked it. Yes, he referenced a thread from "that other site" (or at least I assumed it was that other site), but didn't say anything more. However, his reasonings were taken into question and thought to be stirring up trouble. I feel that was because of what Jason HAD in his sig. It also appeared to me that Darrell felt the way he did because the thread on PSN (if it's the one I heard about) deals with a mod that Jason used to run and the mods that he runs now (that were in his sig).

With all that being said, please don't get me wrong. I really enjoy FTE and am glad to be a part of it. I've learned a ton of great info here and hope to continue to learn. I'll definitely be a part of it for years to come hopefully. There are sometimes though, I've got to weed thru the sludge to get to the good stuff.
Ryan i know exactly what u are talking about with the above highlighted. THis has been addressed and i think u will see less of that over there. I personally hated that was happening over there. Tho, the only moderating going on over there is because of one person, other than that, there isnt alot of moderating being done over there. I have come to the conclusion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and everyone should be heard. Alot of those threads u speak of created a lot of traffic. when they were shut down, traffic died down. I agued that alot.

Anyway, im glad to see there is very little moderating voer here, for the most part, everyone acts as adults over here. as far as the cliqs here, i see very little of that compared to one certain site i quoted above. Cliqs and egos are killers on a site IMO

Ken -- just a quick comment on your sig... I'm running Casserly hybrids, and was about to get the Adrenaline, but after putting them in with my stock 17* pump, my ICP is holding at 2800-3000. You might wait until you get the injectors to decide whether or not you want to go with big oil. Check you ICP in stock -- if it's holding above 2600, it'll do fine with hybrids. Mine was holding over 2700 in stock tuning with the stock splits. Hybrids use even less oil than standard singles, so chances are you won't need a new pump, unless it's already weak, that is.

Carry on!!

Thanks Joe. Looks like Injectors and Trans are going in at least this weekend. we will do that and see what happens and decide on the big oil later on. Unfortunately i bought the Big Oil before the Injectors, then got a steal of a deal on the injectors. We will monitor the ICP and go from there.

Well, you might be able to unload the BO and recover some $$$...

Put it this way -- I gained so much ICP that I blew an O-ring out of the HPOP and had to fix it two days after the injectors went in.

I was having too much fun with this last night to explain what I meant.

I didn't mean us (FTE 7.3) as a whole toward other sites or other forums here. What I meant was inside our 7.3 section.

Reason: Cause I started a thread earlier yesterday asking a simple damn question. But was seen as fishing or alluding or blah blah because my freaking signature "had" PHP and an adrenaline picture. So, cliquish as in if I or you are assumed to represent a camp and ask a question others assume as a fishing witch hunt on your camp a damn thread turns out like my first one did yesterday.

That is what I meant.

And for those that assumed I was referring to a tuner and a certain HPOP thread on another site in my first thread....you are wrong. I was actually referring to a thread about injector standards and planned on trying to pass on some possible useful information once my memory was refreshed about what I had read about weak hpops at RRE09.

But I think I will be sticking to trying to help out in "how much torque is required for my lugnuts" threads.

Love ya....

Well isn't that a direct cause of certain sponsors acting rude towards some customers?

I only have a negative or positive view of companies based upon what I witness. I will only support companies that I see to provide great customer service and a good product. I have seen some sponsors on here treat people horribly. I am a total ***** to companies like that. They will not receive my business or my friends..

I will go to the end of the earth to fight then.. There are certain ford dealerships that have screwed me and I have taken thousands of dollars away from them. I have gone as far to do an injector sway for a guy for free (- beer) to keep $$$ out of that dealer's hands.

There can be a certain bandwagon effect on here.. but that is b/c that certain companies do things right. If they can't do it right they will find someone that can do it to 100% of the customer's requests.

I will not call out the company I described but ppl know....

Maybe this is our "bible group" or "diesel enthusiasts" or what ever stereotype you need to describe us weeding out companies that are trash....
