well, i hate to tell you guys, but if you haven't tried the lexington bbq, you ain't had bbq! yea, i have traveled the state from ear to ear, and the lexington style is king. most of the places here (in lexington) have owners that learned the secrets together, so all are good. but 2 stand out. #1 is the lexington bbq (honeymonk to locals) which is located on the business loop of I85 near the 64w exit. #2 is smokey joe's located on south main st. either place would do you proud. like the fellow said above, even the worst in nc is pretty darn good!

Scott you can start a BIG OL arguement on Lexington vr Eastern style, but I just like good food and enjoy both. I have cousins just around the corner fron #1 and stop in when I can.

oh no, i wouldn't dream of starting an argument (ha). but i do agree that it is all good. do stop at the eastern ones when in their area and enjoy. it is just different. on a little different subject, i am really dissapointed in the number of replies i have received to inquiries sent out about manuals, parts etc for my sick e4od. only reply has been a vauge one from transtech. do you have any ideas?
thanks,
scott
Sorry bud, 66s with FEs can only be fitted with C-O-Ms and C6s, and when your pockets are shallow like mine are right now, you can't buy those high dollar upgrades.

OK! Before I even start this... I must tell you all..er.. ya'll.. two things... I'm really a Yankee... and my wife is makin me post this! LOL! My wife is a native North Carolinian from the Western side of the state. Her top 3 picks for BBQ joints are... Lexington BBQ, followed by Speedy's in Lexington and TarHeel Q on 64 between Lexington and Mocksville. She has NO preference in Eastern BBQ at all. Gotta have that BBQ slaw ya know! Geesh! I guess I can sleep inside tonight now! But I will add... The best BBQ of all is made at home on your cooker with all yur friends there and havin fun! "nuff Said!
