The upcoming spring Carolina Collectors show is coming up March 8-10 at the state fair grounds Jim Graham complex. There is a group of us that meet for breakfast and go to the show together on sat. That has always been fun. If you would like to join in the fun that day just let me know.

The Spring Auto Fest at Lowes Motor Speedway. This is a huge regional auto show/swap meet. It is so large that you can not see it all in a day, and barely in two. A must go event if you need parts.

These folks hold a car show in the spring and again in the fall don't they? If they're the ones, my son has shown vehicles at their show for the past several years (just for the fun of it). I picked up my 3.55 posi for my '82 F150 at one of there shows and my son always comes home with at least an armfull of goodies (new and used). The one at Lowe's is awesome!!! We went last year on Sunday and got some terrific deals (although we were a little disappointed on how early everybody left). We walked miles in the swap meet section and took several trips back to the truck before we almost dropped from exhaustion!!! That's one big infield.

BTW, is anyone going to the Rolex 24 hour in Daytona this weekend?

 

Which day and what time? Saturday about 8:00 am would work for me.

Bob, I need to get rid of some parts and am kicking around maybe getting a space in Raleigh March. Anybody else having any thoughts like that?

on Feb 16 there is a swap meet in burlington that is selling all sorts of truck parts. for directions on how to get out there and info on the show go here http://cnc.4x4.org/calendar/swapmeet.htm.

 

The show is two weeks away, hope you are planning to be there.

ANYONE HAVE INFO ON ANY AUGUST SHOWS IN EASTERN NC, SWAMPYSTUMPS

 

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Jul-02 AT 06:32 PM (EST)]Swampy, I'm pretty new to all this stuff (and don't have a show quality vehicle.....yet). Our NC truck club had a picnic yesterday and there was talk of some upcoming shows. I don't think there were any for August, but the Run to the Rock was mentioned in September (I think several of our guys are going to this). I think a show in Pigeon Forge, Tn. was also mentioned as being in September.

On a side note; if you haven't already talked to John (jowilker, beloved NC chapter moderator and all round good guy), several of us NC guys belong to the North Carolina Ford Truck Owners truck club (shameless plug). John put this club together as a means of us getting together to work on our trucks, swap ideas and parts, and socialize with one another. There are some great looking trucks in this group as well as some good "projects". It's hard to say what's best about the group; the knowledge that gets shared, the love of old Ford trucks, or the comraderie. If you haven't already, let me encourage you to contact John about joining us. There is always someone with knowledge of upcoming events. And there's nothing we like to do better than tinker with our trucks.
