It's the new look- kind of like the messy hair style. Kidding. I just got the truck back from the painter. I told him not to worry about the winshield or seal, because I have a complete weatherstrip kit and new winshield and rear slider ready to be installed. I was just waiting for the paint before I did everything else.
I would have painted with the windshield out, just in case there's any rust underneath the seal. Plus, no paint edge from the seal, and no chance of peeling back.
Anyway, truck looks great and thanks for posting the pics. Grille looks like it's worth the money.

Me too but hey there's more than one way to skin a cat
does anyone have any pics of trucks with a painted grille and bumper... I wonder what that would look like. I could just fix mine and paint it. IDK i'd like to see someone who has done this
I wouldn't paint the entire shell if it were my truck. I once saw one at a show that was burgundy, and they painted the shell burgundy, and the front bumper burgundy, and the grill insert burgundy, and the headlight doors...wait for it...burgundy. With all that body color it made the truck look...well...awkward. I think the body color clashing with the bright shiny headlights reminded me of one of those models from anatomy class where it's just a head with no skin, so it's just all muscle tissue and huge buggy eyes...yeah...it didn't look so hot (IMHO).
